Top 10 Car Brands in India 2025:- The Indian car market has been quite active in the first 6 months of 2025. In these 6 months, growth of cars of different brands has been seen and some brands have surprised everyone with their performance. Maruti Suzuki has maintained its first position but the biggest thing is that Mahindra has left Hyundai behind and taken the second position.

1. Maruti Suzuki – Stable King of Indian Roads
Maruti Suzuki has sold the highest number of units in H1 2025, approx 8.68 lakh units. These sales are approximately 1.5% more than the sales of the previous year. The company has some models which are reliable for the people and have become the first choice of the people, which include Swift, Baleno, WagonR Dzire and Brezza. Maruti’s trust in rural buyers is unmatched.

2. Mahindra – Desi Power on the Rise
This year too Mahindra has done good sales with approx 2.5 lakh units sold which shows 18% growth compared to previous year. SUVs like XUV 700, Scorpio-N, Thar and Bolero have added a boost to the sales. 5 door Thar is also giving momentum to the brand. The “Made for India” slogan of this brand attracts a lot of people.
3. Hyundai – Slipped to 3rd Spot
Hyundai has not shown any special performance in H1 2025. In this H1, Hyundai has sold a total of 2.43 lakh units. Which has declined by 2-3% compared to last year. Creta and Exter maintained performance but market share has decreased in front of Mahindra’s aggressive SUV line up.
